23rd Annual Deaf Youth Sports Festival – MDO 2005

REQUEST FOR MEDICAL PERSONNEL

MDO is a sports camp for Deaf/Hard of hearing youth that allows children to discover their potential
through organized Olympic style sporting competitions and directed activities with their peers.

Where? – University of Louisville campus, Louisville, KY

When? – July 24th, 2005 through July 30th, 2005
(Volunteers are asked to arrive Friday, July 22nd, or Saturday July 23rd, for training)

DYSF – MDO is in need of qualified medical personnel to provide medical services to participants the week of Sunday, July 24th through Saturday, July 30th, 2005.

Duties will include:
- Meeting kids at registration Sunday, July 24th
- Receiving/recording meds from parents
- Organizing and dispensing meds during the week
- Triage
- Attending to minor injuries
- Communicating with Participant Affairs Director

We need people to volunteer all or any part of the week, we will work around your availability.
First-aid knowledgeable volunteers will be available to assist you, and we will provide an interpreter if needed.

All meals, lodging and supplies will be provided as well as entertainment (cruise on Belle of Louisville, Safari party, etc.)
