Charles L. Williams, 54, of Troy, Ill., born July 31, 1955, in East St. Louis, Ill., died on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at his residence in Troy, Ill.
Mr. Williams was a 1973 graduate of Jacksonville School for the Deaf, Jacksonville, Ill. He was formerly employed at Foley Chemical Co., and Bemus Bag. He was a member of the Gateway Deaf Club. He was an avid bowler for more than 20 years at Camelot Bowl and many other local bowling lanes.
Charles was preceded in death by a daughter, Anna Marie Williams; father, Edward Totty; his maternal grandparents, Harlan and Marjorie Williams; four brothers, Bryan Williams, Elmer, Eddie and Delbert Totty; and a sister, Doris "Bitsy" Friese.
Surviving are his wife, Tina, nee Hammack, Williams, whom he married on July 7, 1984, in Collinsville, Ill.; son, Philip Williams of Troy, Ill.; mother, Barbara, nee Williams, (Jim Davenport) Totty of Collinsville, Ill.; brothers and sisters, Marilyn (Dan Moll) McDaniel of Collinsville, Ill., Debra (Kenny) Hayes of Collinsville, Ill., Mike Totty of Collinsville, Ill., Donald Totty of Collinsville, Ill., Ronald Totty of Fairmont City, Ill., Doug Totty of Collinsville, Ill., Betty (Lou) Martinez of Seminole, Okla., and Diana (Tom) Merrill of Fairmont City, Ill.; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
Memorials may be made to the family or Unity Hospice.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at the funeral home with the Rev. Ron Habermehl officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Collinsville, Ill.
