ASL-Interpreted Shabbat Morning Services (December 6th)

Tue, November 18, 2008 - 11:18:00

SAVE THE DATE!! -- ASL-Interpreted Shabbat Morning Services (December 6th)

New York’s Tifereth Israel-Town & Village (T&V) Synagogue (www.tandv.org) will be hosting another sign-language-interpreted Shabbat Service on Saturday morning, December 6th, and we hope you can join us!

Services will include full readings from the Torah and Haftorah (Prophets), and will be held from 9:45 AM -- 12:00 Noon at 334 East 14th Street, between 1st and 2nd Avenues in Manhattan. Our interpreters will again be Jessica Ames and Naomi Brunnlehrman.

A guest speaker, Professor Nancy Sinkoff of Rutgers University, will talk during Services about Eastern Europe and the Holocaust.

A Kiddush (refreshments and social hour) will follow Services, after which she will present again, this time about the life and times of author and historian, Lucy S. Dawidowicz, with questions-and-answers (interpreted as well), and all are welcome to participate in these activities.

More information is available online at:

(Please note: Out of respect for Shabbat, pen, paper and cell phones cannot be used in the synagogue on Saturday morning.)

For additional information, please contact Bram Weiser at bramweiser@usa.net or (212) 677-0368v.

Thanks, and we’ll hope to see you there!

P.S. Thank you, one and all, for your support in 2008. With your help, 2009 looks to be even better (perhaps even with ASL interpretation on Purim night, Monday, March 9th)! Details will follow soon, and we'll hope to see you then as well...

(Schedule is subject to change.)
