500 East 4th Street

WHY:                Part of the Career and Technology Education Department at TSD, the Culinary Arts program is a classroom that operates as a business and prepares students for careers in hotel and restaurant fields.  Students cater many school events as well as fill outside orders upon request.  Classroom instruction includes recipe testing, business management, menu planning, and food health and safety. Training opportunities working with guest chefs and food industry professionals, like the Hilton staff, give students real-world, on-the-job training experience.

With a strong belief in culture and community at TSD, students form a unique identity based on their individual strengths and talents. At TSD, students learn, grow, and belong. For more information about TSD, visit www.tsd.state.tx.us.
