Developing Your Musical Ear: Music Appreciation When You Have Hearing Loss
I have a cochlear implant. How can I develop my ability to appreciate music?
Can I continue to appreciate music even as my hearing loss progresses?
If you are asking yourself questions like the above, this workshop is for you! Wendy Cheng, amateur violist, cochlear implant user and the founder of the Association for Musicians with Hearing Loss (AAMHL), will be presenting a workshop on how to enjoy music with the residual hearing you have. You will also have a fun opportunity to participate in a drawing for an Itunes gift card! Following the workshop, AAMHL will present a live music concert.
This event will be held in this location:
Saturday, June 7, 2008 from 2 -5 pm. Northern Virginia Resource Center for the Deaf and Hard of hearing (NVRC), 3951 Pender Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030. Parking is available.
Assistive listening devices are available at both venues and captioning will be provided. For more information about this event, please email us at info@aamhl.org
