FACULTY IN AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE
Vincennes University is seeking applicants for a Faculty in American Sign Language. This is a full-time faculty position with benefits located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Instructors participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs, courses and other experiences that will directly result in the educational growth of the students and support advancement of the visions, missions and values of the college and Deaf Community.
A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with five years of successful teaching experience in American Sign Language and Deaf Studies and certification from a professional organization such as ASLTA is required. Successful applicant should possess teaching or training experience in American Sign Language at the community college or university level.

Interested applicants should submit a letter of interest, curriculum vita, names of three references, official college transcripts and a DVD: a 10-minute presentation of the candidate’s ASL performance regarding ASL instruction issues. The DVD can include, but not be limited to, teaching and learning styles relevant to ASL as a second language (i.e., ASL classifiers, ASL input to 2nd language students).
