3/19/10—The FCC announced Purple Communications signed an agreement with the FCC to repay $18.5M from the Video Relay Services fund. In return, the FCC will instruct NECA to release payments to Purple for relay services provided in December 2009, and will continue to reimburse Purple for legitimate relay services.  The FCC determined the calls Purple had been reimbursed for either originated and ended outside of the US, or were made to or from Purple employees.
