Petition for Clarification , CG Docket No. 03-123

08/15/08 - CSDVRS has filed a petition for clarification of the section of the Commission’s June 2008 Numbering Order which will require users of IP-based TRS to register with a single “default” provider.  CSDVRS believes that having a single “default” provider handle virtually all inbound and outbound calls for their registered users may have the unintended effect of giving default providers the impression that they may make it difficult for relay consumers to access alternative providers by dialing around and making calls to the providers they choose.

Petition for Reconsideration , CG Docket No. 03-123

08/15/08 – CDSVRS, GoAmerica, Viable, Inc., and Snap Telecommunications have filed a petition for reconsideration and clarification of the Commission’s rules contained in paragraphs 60 and 61 of the Commission’s June 2008 Numbering Order.  The group believes the order would require each VRS provider to create a mechanism to equate routing information to a phone number for each and every device that they or other VRS providers have issued and forces VRS providers to accept responsibility for video devices that they had no role in developing and have no relationship to their own signaling platforms.
