Obaituary Joan M. McGinnis Joan M. (Coyne) McGinnis 68, of Pontiac, Died at 9:15 a.m Thursday, July, 2008, at her residence. Her graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2008, at St. Paul Cemetery, Odell, the Rev. Don Leonard Officiating. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at Martin- Burke Funeral Home, Pontiac, Il She Was born July 18, 1939 at Ladysmith, Wis, the daughter of Irving and Ardeth (Martindale) Hansen. She Married Donald E Coyne May 14, 1957, at Pontica, Il. He died Oct. 9 , 1975. She later married Donald "Sonny" McGinnis Aug. 27 1977, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 24, 1982. Surviving are her four sons, James Francis Coyne, Tampa Bay, Fla. Micheal G. (Karen) Coyne and Donnie (Danielle) Coyne Jr., both of Pontica, and Jefferey K. Coyne, Streator; one Daughter, Marica (Gary) Eckel, Pontica; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother Ray Hasen,Gilman; and two sisters, Judy Hasen and Linda (Gene) Martin, both of corell. Mrs. McGinnis was also preceded in death by two grandchildren,two great-grandchildren and one brother. Joan was educated at the Illinois School for the Deaf in Jacksonville. She was a homemaker and had beeen employed as a housekeeper. Mrs. Mc Ginnis was also employed at Coil Industries, R.R Donnelley and Sons and Heritage Manor Nursing Home, all in Dwight. She was an avid bowler and swimmer, loved anything to do with crafts and was an avid Bears fan.
