Virginia  May Ward, 82, of Danville, died Saturday, August 23, 2008. Born in 

Fayetteville, Ar on December 11, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Ewing P.

Mary Jim Ward. Ms. Ward was a graduate of Arkansas School for the Deaf in

Little Rock, Ar., Gallaudet University in Washington, DC and the University of

Tennessee at Knoxvile, Tn. She taught high school mathematics for 41 years

at Kentucky School for the Deaf in Danville. She Served many oranization in

different capacities throughout her carrier. She was inducted into both the

Arkansas School for the Deaf and Kentucky School for the Deaf Halls of Fame.

Burial will be in Jacksonville AR. beside her parents. A gathering to share

memories of Miss Ward will take place Saturday, September 13, 2008 from

2- 4 P.M. at Stith Funeral Home. Servivor include two niceces, Mary Beth Dean

of Prosect, Ky. and Susan Osburn of North Little Rock, Ar., a nephew, Lynn Davis

of Sherwood, Ar., two great - nieces, two great nephews, and one- great nephew

all of Prospect,Ky. and North Little Rock, Ar. The family suggests memorial
