Visiting Lecturer, American Sign Language Program at
Purdue University

1 Visiting Lecturer position in the American Sign Language Program will be available in August, 2005 in the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.

Competitive salary and benefits. Responsibilities include: preparing and teaching 8 sections of ASL per year (4 each semester) based Signing Naturally curriculum, creating class materials, preparing and administering examinations, holding office hours, assigning grades, functioning as a potential advisor to the ASL Program and contributing to curriculum and materials development for the program. The successful candidate must:

--have native-like competence in American Sign Language,
--experience teaching at the university level,
-- experience using the Signing Naturally curriculum
--preferably possess a Masters degree
